Finding Christmas TV-Movie (2013)
Director: Harvey Crossland
Cast : Tricia Helfer, J.T. Hodges, Mark Lutz
Synopsis; Sean, who runs a New York City advertising agency, and Owen, a small-town handyman and musician, swap residences for the holidays. Mia, who works for Sean, helps Owen get settled into his new apartment while Ryan, sent by Owen to fix a broken heater, helps Sean find the charm of living in a small town. Owen is a fish-out-of-water in the big city and tries to flirt with Halo, an aspiring model/actress/singer who lives in the apartment building. One night, after Mia has shown Owen around the town, Halo sees him entering the elevator while he’s dressed in a wardrobe borrowed from Sean’s closet. Thinking he’s rich, Halo flirts back and sets up a date. Mia, however, warns him that she just thinks he has money because he’s living in Sean’s apartment and is wearing Sean’s clothes. On the day of the big date, Owen realizes who he really is and what he really wants in life. Meanwhile, Sean is falling in love with the local veterinarian, who happens to be harboring a big secret – two, actually. He’s surprised when his ex-fiancé’ appears on his doorstep, ready to accept his marriage proposal and move back to New York with him. This complicates Sean’s blossoming relationship with the small town girl, who has told him that her career as a veterinarian relies on her staying where she is, and to simply enjoy their love while it lasts. On Christmas Eve, Sean invites Owen to come back for a special dinner, where a surprise awaits all of them.
Watch Finding Christmas Full TV-Movie: It is one of the few Christmas love story movies that isn’t too sappy. It does help it to be the holiday season to watch it. The cast is composed of familiar faces and it is interesting to see the beautiful Ms. Helfer in a different setting. The male leads are well acted as well. Another Hallmark Channel production to go along with their Christmas themed movies that is filmed in Canada with a large Canadian supporting cast. If you like country music this has a few Christmas songs with a country accent. It is slow to start but by ten minutes into the movie it picks up speed and is good enough that you won’t be checking your watch. All in all an enjoyable Christmas movie.

Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas TV-Movie (2014)
Director: Mark Caballero, Seamus Walsh
Cast : Mark Hamill, Jim Parsons, Kate Micucci
Synopsis; A stop-motion animated musical with Jim Parsons as Buddy, the elf who goes to New York to find his father.
Watch Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas Full TV-Movie: I had very low expectations for this… thing. It still couldn’t meet them. The first song went completely against the moral of the original Elf (2003). Santa sings about how he wishes the elves would stop singing. That’s completely against the whole meaning of Elf! There truly was nothing good about this movie. The actors did okay with the bottom of the barrel writing they were given, except for Mark Hamill, who sounded like a robot, reading his lines with no life, no personality. The only reason I didn’t give it a 1 is because Edward Asner actually did a very good job as Santa, who was the narrator. Once again, this good performance was ruined by awful writing. The worst part about this sorry excuse for a TV movie though, is that it ruined the story that formed a Christmas classic, Elf. The final scene might have earned itself a third star, if it weren’t for Buddy being very annoying. He actually managed to be even more annoying than he had been all movie long. But to sum it all up, this thing had the cheesiest lines and songs that I’ve ever heard in a movie. Do yourself a favor and, if you taped it, or it’s on again, don’t watch this. Sit down on the couch, and watch the original Elf. That can actually be considered a movie. This remake is pure junk.
